"Pain is inevitable.
Suffering is optional."
 HARUKI MURAKAMI

Within Psychotherapy there are different methodologies and schools to work with. In general I believe that each person requires an individual approach, based on their unique constitution and circumstances.

My work is mainly based on the following two approaches; „client centric“ and „positive psychology“.

I find both methods to be solid fundaments for therapy (scientifically researched and acknowledged), adaptable and focused on empowering a patient to heal and initiate change.

Client centered therapy

I work based on Carl Rogers’ client-centered approach, a powerful method grounded in empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. This model emphasizes creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard and accepted.

Rather than directing or diagnosing, I see you as the expert on your own experience. Through active listening and genuine connection, this process helps you explore your thoughts and emotions more freely, leading to deeper self-understanding, personal growth, and lasting change.

By fostering trust and presence, client-centered therapy allows you to reconnect with your inner strengths and discover your own path forward.

Positive Psychology

I work with the principles of positive psychology, focusing not only on your challenges but also on strengths, values, and your potential for growth.

Together, we explore what gives your life meaning and how you can move toward greater well-being and resilience by focusing on your strengths.

Positive Psychology movement as such was formally established in 1998 by Martin E. P. Seligman. Seligman expressed concern that the field of psychology had become overly preoccupied with psychopathology, focusing predominantly on diagnosing and treating mental illness, while largely neglecting the scientific study of human strengths, well-being, and optimal functioning.

His vision was to apply the methodological and empirical rigor of mainstream psychological science to the promotion of resilience, positive emotion, character strengths, and overall psychological flourishing. This paradigm shift aimed to balance the deficit-focused model of traditional psychology with a strengths-based, preventative, and growth-oriented approach.
